Custom Fabrication Pricing & Shop Policy

We specialize in custom fabrication. No two jobs are the same, and most of what we build is one-off or highly modified work. Because of that, pricing isn’t flat-rate or menu-based—it’s based on real time and real materials.

Labor Rate

All work is billed at $120 per hour, plus materials.

There is a 1-hour minimum charge on all jobs.

Time starts when we begin working on your project—this includes layout, prep, cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and finishing. It also includes time spent planning or solving issues that come up during the job.

Materials

Materials are billed in addition to labor.

We use quality steel, aluminum, hardware, and consumables to make sure the finished product holds up. That includes things like welding wire, gas, abrasives, and shop supplies—those costs are part of doing the job right.

If material prices fluctuate, those changes are reflected in your final bill.

Estimates (Read This)

We’re happy to give rough estimates, but custom work doesn’t always go to plan.

A job that looks simple can turn into more time once we get into it—fitment issues, previous work, hidden problems, or design changes all add time. That’s just the nature of fabrication.

Because of that:

  • Estimates are ballpark figures, not fixed quotes
  • Final pricing is based on actual hours worked and materials used
  • We’ll communicate if a job is trending beyond the original estimate

If you need a hard quote, we can discuss it—but understand that it may include a buffer to cover the unknowns.

Minimum Charges & Small Jobs

Even small jobs require setup, tooling, and cleanup.

That’s why we have a 1-hour minimum, regardless of how quick the job may seem.

Design, Fitment & Problem Solving

A big part of custom work is figuring things out as we go.

If your project requires design time, mockups, or problem-solving to make parts fit and function correctly, that time is billed just like fabrication time. You’re not just paying for labor—you’re paying for experience and the ability to make it work.

Changes & Rework

If the scope of the job changes after we’ve started, additional time will be billed at the standard hourly rate.

If something needs to be redone due to customer-requested changes, it will be billed accordingly. Once material is cut or work is completed, it can’t be undone for free.

Customer-Supplied Parts

We’re willing to work with customer-supplied parts, but there are no guarantees.

We are not responsible for:

  • Poor fitment
  • Low-quality materials
  • Previous modifications
  • Extra time required to make parts work

Any additional time spent modifying or correcting supplied parts will be billed.

Deposits & Payment

  • Smaller jobs are typically paid in full at completion
  • Larger or more involved projects may require a deposit upfront
  • Progress payments may be required on long-term builds

All invoices are due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.

Turnaround Time

Turnaround depends on current workload and the complexity of your project.

We do our best to give realistic timelines, but custom work can take time—especially when quality matters. Rushed work isn’t good work, and we don’t cut corners to hit unrealistic deadlines.

Warranty / Responsibility

We stand behind our workmanship. If there’s an issue due to something we did, we’ll make it right.

However, we are not responsible for:

  • Abuse or misuse of parts
  • Failure of customer-supplied components
  • Issues caused by improper installation (if we didn’t install it)

Bottom Line

We build parts for some of the fastest cars in the world. This shop did not build its foundation for quality on cut corners, or cheap materials. We’re here to build solid, functional parts that last. That level of craftsmanship has a price.

This isn’t production work—it’s custom fabrication.

You’re paying for time, skill, and doing the job right the first time.

If all of this sounds good to you, please let us know how we can help you. We can’t wait to get started 🙂
